Social Innovation Camp

20/02/2008
Between 4th-6th April 2008 the Social Innovation Camp will bring together some of the best of the UK and Europe’s web developers and designers with people at the sharp end of social problems. The aim is to find ways that easy-to-build web 2.0 tools can be used to develop solutions to social challenges.

Social Innovation Camp will focus on ideas which might:
1. Help a pre-existing not-for-profit organisation.
2. Become a social enterprise, charity, community interest company or other business in their own right.
3. Become none of the above. The organisers are also interested in stand-alone ventures which participants may just run in their spare time.

The Camp will consider the likelihood of getting the venture off the ground as well as the potential to scale-up or replicate the venture.

Social Innovation Camp is supported by NESTA and the Young Foundation
