| The Gala Evening Final for the 2008 HSBC Unipreneurs Award will take place on 23rd April at London’s BAFTA theatre. The five National Finalists for the 2008 HSBC Unipreneurs Award have now been selected from over 400 applicants. They will be quizzed on-stage before a live audience, who will then vote for the candidate who has impressed them most. In addition to Dr. Lorna Collins, Director of NCGE Flying Start, the judging panel consists of Professor Robert Blackburn (Director, Small Business Research Centre, Kingston University), Emma Crosby (presenter on Sky News), Jenny Little (Enterprise Editor of the Financial Mail on Sunday), Huw Morgan (Head of Business Banking at HSBC) and Jamie Murray Wells (founder of Glasses Direct) The competition has encouraged students and recent graduates to develop their ideas for starting their own business and the judges have reviewed a wide range of innovative solutions and services, from organic waste recycling to computer accessibility solutions. |
