| The UK Intellectual Property Office (UK-IPO)has launched a new free searchable database for published patents data, allowing users to search and download published patent information, on-line, free of charge. The new database for published patents data will help a wide range of customers. Users will be able to search and download published patent information, on-line, free of charge. The new service has been developed following an internal review and external consultation exercise. It offers users the ability to search, view or download individual or multiple sections of patents data across a range of publication weeks, as well as providing automatic links to the Patents Register and published documents. The UK Intellectual Property Office (UK-IPO) launched new search technology at the beginning of April to power the UK-IPO website search engine and the same technology is used as the backbone for the new Electronic Patents Journal. |
