Discipline Based Practice

NCGE seeks to engage all subjects and disciplines in enterprise and entrepreneurship opportunities for the students and graduates from these subjects. Clearly different conceptions and approaches are needed to meet the diversity of students. Those from business and management, or from biosciences, or art and design or philosophy and religious studies are likely to have different values and aspirations for engaging in the development of enterprising and entrepreneurial capacities.

This site aims to offer a wide range of examples of practices and approaches from a variety of subjects and disciplines. These have been developed through our partnerships with national bodies such as the Higher Education Academy and its network of Subject Centres, the Centres for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, and the UK network of Science Enterprise Centres.

Outside of the UK our international partners, such as the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in the US, have further contributed to the wealth of experience available from this site. Further examples are being continually added.
