| Detail: | Tuesday 25 November, 10am (for 10.30 start) until 4pm Theme The assessment of enterprise and entrepreneurship modules and courses was recently explored at the University of Salford. What came out of that workshop is that this is a subject requiring further exploration – the workshop raised as many questions as it answered. The speakers at the November workshop will be people who have hands-on experience of assessment of enterprise and entrepreneurship. They are: Dr Andy Penaluna, Swansea Metropolitan University Dr Anne Nortcliffe, Sheffield Hallam University Dr Kevin Byron, University of Leicester For those of you who attended in June, you will remember that Andy made a presentation there, and from his recent contribution to the Newsletter, it is clear that the question of assessment has not remained static. Dr Anne Nortcliffe will be discussing the innovative approach she takes to enterprise and entrepreneurship learning outcomes in two of her modules. Dr Kevin Byron will be presenting novel ways of assessing the intangible, creativity. Given the framework of these presentations, the afternoon will require delegates to contribute to the workshops with their assessment ‘problems’ or alternatively their assessment ‘solutions’. We are hoping that this will give rise to an interesting dialogue and outcomes that can be summarised in the plenary. I am taking the unusual step of canvassing Enterprise Educators members to see how many of you are interested in attending this workshop. My reason for this is that the date is very soon after Enterprise Week and this may prevent some of you from attending. Please could you email me at jenny@enterprise.ac.uk to register your interest in attending. Or to indicate that you would like to attend but the date is problematic. Best wishes Jenny |
