British Library embarks on e-learning pilot for entrepreneurs

01/11/2007
The British Library and e-learning developer Nelson Croom are developing three courses for UK businesses this autumn and winter.

The online modules complement an existing programme of workshops run by the Business & IP Centre at the St Pancras site in London. The workshops cover a variety of topics on information and research techniques. The London Development Agency awarded the British Library Business & IP Centre £1m in May 2005 to help transform it from a successful pilot project into a permanent national resource.

The Business & IP Centre hosts the largest freely accessible collection of business and intellectual property information in the UK and is an invaluable resource for businesses.

The first course will be available in December and is part of the British Library’s strategy to extend the reach of the Library’s services to those unable to visit in person.
