| Detail: | The Council for Industry and Higher Education (CIHE) are presenting a workshop seminar to consider the draft findings of their current research study on employer demand for high level learning. The seminar will discuss the findings from research with employers on how their needs for high level learning are met by higher education and ways in which HEIs respond through the provision of higher level learning. The research by Helen Connor and her team has focused on: * how businesses’ needs for higher level learning and development are met by higher and further education * the processes through which demand is articulated to universities and colleges and how these can lead to successful supply-side responses * where problems and barriers currently lie for employers, employees and providers. * a wide range of learning and a range of business sectors and functions. This has produced a fascinating insight into the diversity of current practice which CIHE will share.Please note that this seminar is an invitation only event. |
