CfP: Entrepreneurship track at BAM Conference |

| Plans are well underway for BAM2008 in Harrogate (9-11 September, Majestic Hotel) supported by the University of Leeds. The theme of the event is The Academy Goes Relevant and BAM is seeking papers, symposia and workshops to feed the debate. The Entrepreneurship track is keen to receive submissions on the following topics: * Theories of entrepreneurship: from Schumpeter to Shane; * The entrepreneurial process (networking, teams, supply chains etc); * Entrepreneurship - growth, sustainability and performance; * Critical perspectives on entrepreneurship * Intrapreneurship in small and large firms; * Entrepreneurship - globalization, regional and other spatial issues; * Entrepreneurship education (including training); * Science enterprise, technology transfer and incubation; * Women, minority groups and entrepreneurship; * The nature of entrepreneurship: cognition, behaviours and processes; * Entrepreneurship in small firms and family businesses * Social entrepreneurs and community enterprise * Promoting enterprise and entrepreneurship (policy and practical issues) * Financing start-ups and small firm growth * Researching entrepreneurship: methods and methodologies Papers should also focus on policy and practical implications of their findings. A Best Paper in Entrepreneurship will be selected for recognition of quality of the written paper whether that be an empirical or theoretical paper. The closing date for submissions is 29 February 2008. |
