Young Voice08 is an affordable half-day event aimed at giving young people aged 14 – 30 the inspiration they need to use their enterprising ideas to create social and environmental change. It is also designed to help educators and children’s service providers teach social enterprise and use it to motivate disenfranchised young people.

This interactive youth conference will take place in Liverpool on February 26 and will exhibit the amazing work of some of the UK’s best young social entrepreneurs - and help budding ones get their ideas off the ground.

The young people leading workshops at the event are already actively solving social and environmental problems with their brilliant ideas: with a bit of imagination a skate-park, bottles of water, and some old fire hoses are making a whole world of difference.

Young attendees can win start-up funding, take part in debates, learn useful skills, enjoy performances and a fair-trade fashion show, talk to politicians and Social Enterprise Ambassadors and make useful contacts. They can also find out about careers in social enterprise and learn what kinds of social enterprise training and university courses are available to them.

Educators and children’s service providers who attend will be taught how best to help children and young people understand how to combine their ethics with their ambition - allowing them to do well by doing good. They can also speak to a local social enterprise school, attend a targeted workshop and pick up valuable teaching materials.

Come to Young Voice08 and help the next generation use business to make a difference.
