CfP: International Journal of Entrepreneurship Education

Date: 10/04/2008
Content: The International Journal of Entrepreneurship Education (IJEE) has issued a Call for Papers for a special issue on the topic E-Commerce, Web2 and Entrepreneurship: Where Next?.

After the dot com crash of 2000, e-commerce has become an established aspect of the business landscape. Entrepreneurs have been central to this process innovating in areas including information markets, retail, business-to-business markets and the so-called Web 2.0 arena. While there have been numerous failures there have also been many high profile success stories including the ubiquitous Google, the jewellery retailer Blue Nile, the betting exchange Betfair, social networking websites and the on-demand software provider Salesforce.com.

This special issue looks to gather together best practice in this area in the form of case studies, research articles and survey/review papers. Topics:
• E-Commerce Entrpreneurial Strategies
• Social Networking
• The role of financiers
• E-Commerce entrepreneurship across sectors (e.g. B2C, B2B)
• Information entrepreneurs (e.g. affiliate websites and aggregators)
• Valuing e-commerce start-ups
• E-Commerce based IPOs
• E-Commerce Entrepreneurship with a focus on specific nations/regions (e.g. emerging nations, Asia, Europe)
• Web 2.0 and entrepreneurship

The above list is not intended to be prescriptive and the Special Issue is happy to consider a wide range of topics. If writers are in any doubt whether a potential topic is suitable please contact the Special Issue Editor: Des Laffey, Kent Business School, University of Kent, UK (D.J.Laffey@kent.ac.uk).

Length and author guidelines: Articles should be between 4,000-6,000 words. Please refer to the IJEE Notes for Authors for guidance on style (http://www.senatehall.com/submit.php?journal=1).
